Mickleover has taken part in several Bloom competitions over 13 years and has come between 1st and 3rd place in all those years.
Last year the Community Centre won 1st prize in Derby in Bloom.
Mickleover won 1st prize in East Midlands in Bloom.
In 2001 Mickleover won 3rd prize in Britain in Bloom.
The Community Centre garden is maintained by a team of volunteers and annually we run a competition between the user groups for the ‘best wall basket'.

Each year, usually in May we hold a plant sale when we ask local people to pot up their cuttings for us in order that we might sell them in aid of the Centre Garden.
Bargains are always to be had at our plant sale!
